I cannot fault them. I've insured all of my pets with Agria, two dogs and two cats.
In 2022, I had to file a claim for my 7 month old puppy, Freddie. He had a spinal deformity which was discovered at 6 months old. At 7 months, we took him to a specialist hospital in Cambridge. They attempted surgery but we sadly had to have him put to sleep as the surgery was unsuccessful.
In this horrific, traumatic time, I was pre-warned by the hospital there was a chance my insurance would refuse to pay out as they saw it often with cases like this. Not only did Agria pay out over £9k worth of claim, they did it professionally and so competently, they never bothered me at all as they knew how badly I was grieving this loss. In addition to this, I also received a condolence cards from them once the claim was settled.
Following from this, I have had to make claims on two separate occasions, once for a cat and another recently for my dog who contracted conjunctivitis. Both times the claims were handled professionally and I received payments swiftly and with no quibbles.
With my experience of Agria, I recommend them to all of my friends and family with pets, and my mum has also insured her dog with them. It also helps that I got free dog hampers for both my boys when I signed up too!

Excellent customer care!
We’ve been with Agria for years. Our wee pup Max recently died (he was old but it was unexpected and traumatic). Without me even having to ring and chase, Agria stopped taking money from my account and also refunded the half of the month after he passed away without being asked. This is so unusual for modern companies and I am so impressed with this customer care (goes beyond customer service I’d say). Thanks guys, we’ll be staying loyal!
