Agria Pet Insurance Sponsor-a-pup!
To raise awareness within Agria of our amazing assistance dog partners, each of our teams has sponsored a pup. We can't wait for the first lot of 'pupdates' from these very special dogs.
Meet Ella!
Our Customer Service team has the inspiring Dogs for Autism for their chosen partner. A newer but very busy charity, as the name suggests they work with people with severe autism and through their dogs they provide a path back to reconnecting with society and their loved ones through their assistance dogs.
Ella was chosen for the team! Ella has a lovable, mischievous character and loves to investigate everything she discovers on her travels.
Meet Alfie!
Our Marketing team were given the incredible Hearing Dogs for Deaf People as their sponsored charity, who have over 1,600 dogs insured with us.
What does Alfie love most? Food, of course! Lynn, his volunteer puppy trainer, says, “In the mornings, Alfie loves to hold on to my dressing gown to pull me towards the kitchen. He starts bouncing as soon as I pick up his food bowl!” Being a Labrador, it’s no surprise that Alfie has a healthy appetite.
Meet Pickle
Our Claims team had the fabulous Canine Partners as their chosen charity who are one of our longer standing assistance dog partners.
Their chosen dog is ‘Pickle’ who is a 5 month old Black Labrador. She’s a calm girl who enjoys learning new tasks!
Meet Amber!
Our Field team also had Hearing Dogs for Deaf People as their chosen charity. After much deliberation over a few (but difficult!) options, Amber was the superstar! Amanda and Don, Amber’s volunteer puppy trainers, tell us she likes to sleep and hide in the funniest places.
“We play our own version of ‘Where’s Wally?’ We’ll often say, ‘Where’s Amber?’ only to find her in her toy basket, buried amongst her teddies!” Like we said, adorable!
Meet Wolfy!
Our IT team’s partner charity is Support Dogs. They’re a national charity dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children and adults with various challenging medical conditions.
The chosen dog was Wolfy. Wolfy is a seizure alert dog, already providing life-changing support to his family in Kent. Fun fact: he is the second dog in the entire world to be dual trained as a seizure alert AND guide dog.
Meet Honey!
Our Compliance team had Veterans with Dogs as their chosen charity. Veterans with Dogs was established in 2012 as the very first organisation in the UK to provide mental health assistance dogs for Veterans.
Honey is a just over a year old and is now placed with her Veteran for their next phase of training together. The sponsorship will support the veterans stay at our 4 day residential training and where they work and train together developing their bond.
Meet Baxter!
Our Underwriting, HR and Finance team were given Helpful Hounds Assistance Dogs as their chosen charity. The charity provides assistance dogs and medical alert dogs to young people and families that have; physical disabilities, Down’s Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy and Muscular Dystrophy, PTSD and emotional issues.
Baxter is only a few months old and has a terrific life ahead of him. Currently being trained by their CEO who himself is a trainer, we may have a visit from Baxter towards the end of 2024 so watch this space…!
Meet Chorizo
Our Sales and Specialist team were handed Support Dogs as their chosen charity.
Chorizo is a recently qualified assistance dog and famous for being the first Dachshund disability assistance dog in the UK! He loves people, treats, and helping my owner live an independent life and HATES not getting enough attention.
Finally, we wanted to sponsor an assistance dog charity on behalf of the whole group and for that we chose Service Dogs UK! They train & provide assistance dogs, from rescue, to support members of the Armed Forces & Emergency Services with PTSD.
You may recall from our Press Release launching our Service Dogs product, to celebrate this we sponsored Bear and Deputy!
And there we have it! We look forward to having office visits from some of these inspiring organisations later this year so we can learn more about the great work they do and hopefully meet some of our sponsored pups!
Agria is officially the chosen insurance provider of assistance dogs in the UK, something we worked hard to achieve and we are very proud of.
