Meet Mark Walden our Partnership Manager
Partnerships are a key pillar of Agria’s business strategy. We work with hundreds of organisations across the UK, from rehoming organisations to vets to pet foods and suppliers.
Aligning with key organisations who share our values is key to enhancing our brand, growing the business and giving our policyholders more value in our products. In short, I meet with prospective partners along with our current partners to explore opportunities and ensure we get the most out of our partnerships.
Starting a day at Agria
I get up as normal for the day ahead with a strong coffee and an early morning walk with the dog. My role revolves around strong communication with both internal and external partners and having an effective team. It starts with some housekeeping, ensuring emails are responded to and nothing outstanding.
Agria's working environment
I often work from home, but I also travel a lot on the road to the office or meet with a partner which I thoroughly enjoy, often over coffee. I perform at my best when I meet and chat with like-minded people and Agria has a fantastic environment for that. I’ve previously worked in other insurance environments and it can feel quite stale, however after almost 5 years of working for Agria, I haven’t felt that which I think is a great sign of a good company with strong values.
Towards the end of the day, I often catch up with CPD, ensure any outstanding tasks are completed and prepare for any meetings I may have the following day.
And, where did that day go?
The one risk I often find is that the day turns around a lot quicker than expected - it’s either likely down to the bustle of a productive day or I’ve been clearly drinking too much coffee!
