Meet Hazel Phillips our Operations Process Improvement Manager
On 21 August 2006 after 10 years in veterinary practice, I made the jump from Veterinary Nursing to Claims Assessor. Initially, I told myself that I would see how I go for 6 months and here I am celebrating 18 years at Agria!
Agria inspired a passion
The novelty of having my nails painted and going home (on time) at the end of the day nice and clean is still true today, and alongside this, I developed a passion to grow my career at Agria. Starting as a Claims Assessor, I became interested in the more technical side of the claims process looking at complaints, assessor training and quality assurance. This interest led to a promotion to Specialist Assessment Team followed by Claims Team Leader a few years later.
Promotions, promotions, promotions
I was promoted to the position of Claims Projects and Technical Lead in 2020, and in May 2023 I was promoted to Operations Process and Improvement Manager and I’m loving focusing on the process side of the business. The hard work I put into succeeding was supported each step of the way with qualifications, training, coaching and mentoring from my managers.
And some personal milestones
As well as career milestones, I have celebrated a few personal milestones with my Agria family; I have got married, had two beautiful children and somehow agreed to the addition of a very hairy Bearded Collie called Logan.
Whilst 18 years is a long time to stay with one company, Agria has developed and moved forward as a business so much within that time it feels like a completely different place to work now. The objectives of caring for their employees, putting pets first and striving to be the best have remained throughout and become stronger every year.
