Agria to attend BEVA 2024

Agria, the UK's only provider of lifetime equine insurance, to attend BEVA 2024

Agria, the specialist pet insurer that launched revolutionary Lifetime equine insurance in the UK to huge acclaim almost two years ago, is to attend BEVA Congress, in Liverpool (11 to 14 September).

Agria invites BEVA attendees to visit them on stand D12 to learn more about their unique policies and their benefits for horses, owners and vets, plus how vets can work more closely with Agria.

Swedish-owned pet insurer, Agria, has been supporting the welfare of horses and pets across Europe since it first insured an animal, a horse, in 1890. Agria Lifetime Equine exploded on to the UK insurance scene in 2022 at Burghley Horse Trials, and has since become a sponsor at events such as Hickstead, the London International Horse Show, Badminton and is a supporter of Gareth Hughes, Ros Canter, Joe Stockdale and Natasha Baker, amongst others.

Agria always has horse welfare at its heart, supporting and partnering with a range of academic research projects and charities, including the British Horse Foundation’s Better Beginnings programme, World Horse Welfare and RoR.

Agria’s Equine Lifetime insurance stands out for the fact that new exclusions for vet fees are not applied after a claim is made, and the policy has begun. Annual vet free cover for up to £10,000 a year is available.

Roly Owers, Chief Executive of World Horse Welfare, commented: “Our love of horses lasts a lifetime, so our need to care for them does too. That’s why it’s good to know there is now insurance that covers the lifetime of a horse, helping owners to fulfil this promise.”

Agria UK’s CEO Vicki Wentworth added: “As insurers, we know very well how much any horse or pony can mean to its owner, and how much our equine vets can do for them. We’re proud to be a key member of so many owners’ teams, helping ensure that every horse or pony can access the very best care when it needs it — including, for example, a period of extended turnout, if advised, without any worry about a 12-month exclusion deadline. We look forward to speaking with — and listening to — equine vets at this year’s BEVA Congress.”

Agria’s lifetime equine policy covering vet fees for illness as well as injury is available to any horse from 30 days old up to any age as long as the policy is remains in place. To find out more, please visit our website www.agriapet.co.uk/equinelife
