Sustainable pet insurance - reducing our carbon pawprint
Thanks to our fantastic pet parents joining us on our journey to Go Green, we are well on our way to becoming officially carbon neutral!
This time 12 months ago, we had just planted the first of 1,000 Agria trees in an important community space in Nottingham, with the help of Trees for Cities. Our trees are there to enhance the environment, provide habitats helpful to local wildlife, and to give the community an enhanced natural place to enjoy.
Planting these trees marked the beginning of our exciting initiative to ‘Go Green’ – the introduction of paperless pet insurance - along a whole host of other carbon efficiencies!
Going Green relied on you, our pet parents, getting behind us and helping us to go paperless. And we were over the moon that almost all of you took us up on this – allowing us to save over 1.5million sheets of paper in a year – which is a staggering 28 tonnes of CO2! This is the equivalent of:
67,116 miles driven in an average car, or
28 return flights from Paris to New York, or
100,000 loo rolls – which, if you stacked on top of each other, would be as tall as the highest mountain on our planet measured from the bottom of the ocean to its highest peak!
This huge achievement has enabled us to move on to something we did not think would be possible so quickly… but thanks to you – Agria Pet Insurance is rapidly heading towards becoming Carbon Neutral… from this April!
Watch this space for updates as we get closer to our goal...!
